Melbourne Public School District

Melbourne High School has its new boys’ basketball coach - a Mt. Pleasant native and Ozarka College alum, Jason Qualls.  Qualls received his first head coaching job at Couch School District when he oversaw the boy’s team from 2003 – 2007.   He then coached at Alton School District from 2007-2017 as the assistant basketball coach and then the head basketball coach from 2017-2019.  From 2019 to 2021 he was the assistant varsity basketball coach and head JV boys basketball coach at Licking School District.  In 2021 he served as the head Jr boys basketball coach, head JV boys basketball coach and assistant varsity boys basketball coach at Norwood School District.
